MahaDBT is the New portal of Scholarship schemes of Government of Maharashtra. MahaDBT – www.mahadbt.gov.in means Maharashtra Direct Benefit Transfer in beneficiaries account. Various department provide the scholarship to eligible student like – Social Justice to Special Assistance, Minorities Development, Tribal Development Department, Higher and Technical Education & School Education. Candidates now apply online of various scholarship schemes from www.mahadbt.gov.in portal hence, do not use old portal now i.e. www.mahaeschol.maharashtra.gov.in. What is Maha DBT Portal ?

On the basis of recommendations of the State Direct Benefit Transfer Cell (DBT Cell) a decision had been taken by Honourable Chief Minister in the presence of Minister of School Education, Higher and Technical Education and Minister of Social Justice and Special Assistance on 20th January 2017, that 40 schemes shortlisted from five departments, namely Higher and Technical Education, Social Justice & Special Assistance, Tribal Development, Minorities Development and School Education & Sports, would be notified under Maharashtra Aadhaar Act, 2016.

Maharashtra IT Corporation Ltd. (MahaIT) has developed the Maharashtra State Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and Services portal with an objective to disburse benefits, subsidies or services to the intended beneficiaries of various departments of the State. The schemes related to the aforesaid departments have been on-boarded on DBT and Services Portal and beneficiaries of these schemes shall receive benefits, subsidies or services into their Aadhaar linked bank account directly. Going forward, 300+ schemes and services of the State of Maharashtra would be on-boarded on the portal.

The DBT & Services Portal would be an integrated state vide portal for automating various functions and processes involved in DBT- Direct Benefits Transfer, schemes administration. With its inception we would be able to make speedy and transparent execution of DBT schemes and effectively plan, implement and monitor key parameters of various schemes and services. This portal will bring efficiency in various internal functions of the DBT & Services processes and enable us to further integrate external agencies involved in the process and mechanism to fix accountabilities and ensure service delivery within specified time-frames.
