SBI 10300 Post Recruitment 2018

Good news for those seeking a job in Bank. State Bank of India (SBI) India’s biggest bank has 15,762 vacancies, of which 10,300 will gonna be recruited by the bank in the coming year. Because of retirement and digitization in SBI, 15,762 employees have been reduced in 2017-18. To fill these vacant posts SBI going to recruit  10,300 candidates in coming year till march 2019. With the digitization and merger process, the efficiency of the work has increased due to a reduction in the cost of work and 75% of the total retirees will be filled up this year. SBI going to recruit 2,000 Probationary Officers (PO) and 8,300 Clerk this year, out of which 1,100 will be from the reserved category candidates” said by corporate development officer Prashant Kumar.

The State Bank of India had to bear the loss of a huge amount of Rs. 7,718 crores. Showed in balance sheet released on 22nd May 2018 of January to March. which the second highest loss in the banking sector. A total number of 2, 79,803 staff were present at the start of the financial year which eventually reduced to 2, 64,041 in March,  the main reason behind the reduction of staff was retirement and another major reason was voluntary retirement scheme post-merger.
